My kid called me Fri, Penn St., "Dad, I went for a run yesterday." You? "Yeah, it was 70 and I was in shorts. Couldn't help myself." You hate running. (Kid's 6'4", 170 and built for running.) "Yeah, but it was good." lolol guess he ain't in S.C. anymore. It was 50 when he called.

:D
We almost beat a high temp that was established in 1915. This year winter was like vacationing in the Carolinas for 3 months. The ground never really froze, and maybe
1 -- 2 ft of snow overall. Not far in the past, we got 12 ft. Not sure what the bill to pay will be.

Still snowing, and lots of wind now. Definitely got the 15cm they were calling for. Probably more like 30. I don't really need to be anywhere until later tonight so going to see if wind calms down before I snowblow the driveway.

I'm thinking we're going to get our winter now, probably March-May will be where we get most of our snow. We need it though, or the bush will be too dry in summer.

Currently 25mph winds with gusts to 46mph. The ceiling is creaking and cracking something horrible.

Not quite my neck of the woods, but we're heading to Tahoe this afternoon and hoping to beat the storm. As of right now, weather underground is predicting no rain/showers until around 8pm. We're planning on leaving around 2ish which puts us up there around 6-7pm. Good news is they're not predicting heavy snow till later this evening so we should be good. It's going to be cold up there though. 20s at night 30s as the high, brrrrrr.

Another beautiful day in the Albany area, 40F mostly sunny. This was the easiest winter that I can remember, with beneficial rain.
Four days later nasty freezing rain/snow job, knocked out power for 80000 inclusive. WTF positive posts.

Weather's great today: 79F = 26C with nice dry air (dewpoint 32F = 0C). Will be entering a shoulder season where we can start getting low 90s (~33C) in April though. Then sometimes May is low 90s, other times like 2022 it can be mid 90s to low 100s blech.

Put an old PC outside and see how high you can OC it :p

That has often crossed my mind actually, could make a fun experiment. :p I could put it in my shed or garage since it's not insulated in there but it would keep the snow out of it. Put some delta fans and get a big ass heat sink to basically force a ridiculous amount of air through it.

We're back in the warmer temps now, was -1 today but it was the type of cold that goes right through you, so it felt more like -40. Suppose to go in the positives throughout the week though.

Which PC and which benchmark you gonna run to gauge the perf uplift?

Nice weather the past couple of day and tomorrow. Northeaster Wed/Thursday here in New England. Snow where I live - tomorrow's forecast should nail it down better.

a serious spring storm arriving Tuesday. Rain starts later tonight and may become snow later in the week depending. Snow north of me including northern Ontario.

It's going to be messy for the next 3 days with highs around 4C to 7C. Welcome to spring.

We just got hit with a random snow storm out of nowhere. It's the nasty wet stuff too. Yesterday the grass was visible in lot of areas, was able to even make it to the shed.

And now, this:

Just got done snow blowing. Wow, I'm glad I have a snow blower. There's always weird oddball corners that have to be done by hand just to get the snow to where the snow blower can get it and I couldn't do much of it, it was just too heavy. Can't imagine trying to do the whole thing by hand. The good news is the snow blower did manage to do well with it. It was harder on the battery but other than that it powered through.
