do inactive anandtech forum users ever get deleted, or is it theirs forever? just wondering.
 
I believe there was a big purge of inactive accounts sometime last year.

As I recall, they only purged those that hadn't visited the forums in 1 or 2 years. If you were to take, say a 4 or 5 month vacation (not a ban) from the forums, then you wouldn't lose your account.

However, anything over a year can be fair game.
