Thank god I was wearing full leathers. It is warm here in MI today and decided to take my bike out (cbr600rr) and the battery was dead. No biggie, I push started it and went on my way. When I got out of my driveway and shifted into second, after about 2-3 seconds it stalled again. I was like, wtf and push started it again.
I then go around the corner and wrap out first gear (to 72mph) and shift into second. Then at about 85-90 mph my bike felt like it exploded out from under me and down I went. The guy riding behind me was freaking out and almost ran over me 🙂 Thank god he didn't. I?m not sure what caused me to go down, I have a hunch that my bike stalled on me and locked up my rear tire, hit a pot hole, and then launched me.
I rolled for what seemed like forever until I was skidding across the ground and caught a glimpse of my bike about 100 yards ahead of me still skidding down the street. I thought ?crap wtf is going on? and remembered to go limp so you don?t break bones.
I came to a hault and jumped on my feet ? not a scratch on me ? with my buddy pulled right up beside me. I was jumping up and down saying WTF WTF and ran to my bike.
When we arrived at my bike my buddy said ?Can you start it? and I replied ?Dude, I don?t have a f**king brake? (handle broke off) and laughed. He went home to get his truck and picked me up.
All told, my leathers have several holes all over, scratches everywhere, and the gloves I was wearing have about a square inch hole in each palm. The only damage I have is my shoulder feels a little soar (like it was bent a bit the way it shouldn?t have) and my right palm is a little warm. No visible damage. Remember, wear your leathers!
