They put me to sleep.

It's only white noise. You should try harder. Enjoy the lovely chimes as you drift off to a deep and relaxing sleep.

I hope he lets you live there for free, for the rest of your life. It is the least he could do, to make up for what you have had to endure.

I think anytime a close neighbor puts anything out for the sole purpose of making noise is a little obnoxious. Good for farms or large plot of land, but town homes, condos, row homes, and the like can piss off.

My mom had one out at her house when I went to visit her. I took it down for her.

Thankfully none of my neighbors here have one.

I hate those things.

Yeah Fuck noise

theres a difference between necessary noise and unnecessary noise. i can deal with the planes and the trains and the automobiles of the world. what i have trouble dealing with is a constant ringing of some cheap toy somebody decided to hang below my bedroom window.

I have one hanging on our front porch. I really hope it pisses my neighbors off because their dogs barking 24/7 sure pisses me off.

Did you lack the balls to go to the tenant yourself and try to work something out?

this is actually against most apartment policies. you are supposed to go through the landlord to avoid starting personal disputes.

did you lack the brains to figure that out?

No, it is not. If a neighbor does something that annoys you, you, like an adult, talk with them about it. If what they are doing is completely against the lease agreement or building rules, you could go directly to the landlord, but you'd still look like a fucking child. Grow a pair and ask him if they would be alright with taking down their windchime, because it offends your sissy ears.

Wind chimes drive me nuts. The wind makes enough noise on its own. I kind of think people who like wind chimes just aren't comfortable with quiet. They need some sort of background crap going on all the time for some reason.

There's no good reason to have a windchime. It's an interesting sound for about 10 seconds and then it's only annoying thereafter.
