No, because the main hero was a Christian. Muslims were portayed as goaded to war (in the specific battles) by other, less-than-honorable Christians. So the true heroes were those who had honorable characters, no matter what religion they were.

Just saw it. Great movie. I liked how Ridley Scott didn't dehumanize the Muslims into stereotypical barbarians and how he really showed the true goals of the Crusades.

Does that matter? Don't you have the moral strength to have your OWN political/religious views? Why would anyone else's effect you?

Of course I have my own views. I just don't want to see it if it is another Christian bashing movie from Hollywood.

The crusades weren't Christian, so go have fun :p

I tried watching it and at the hour mark finally gave up. The protagonist, by this point, as uttered no more than 150 words. There is no dialogue in this movie. There is no beautiful scenery. The few battles up to that point were simply pathetic. There is no plot or plight or point to the movie. I felt it was just a filler time waster, and apparently most of the reviewers on rottentomatoes had the same impression.

I have to say truly that this movie was even worse than King Arthur, which in its own right was fvcking terrible. If you're looking for another braveheart, this isn't even in the same galaxy.

I enjoyed King Arthur but this movie was pretty boring for the most part.

Quite liked it. Surprised the religious extremists in the US didn't manage to stop this from being released, considering morons like Bush still think the Crusades were good. (Why else would he have called the war on Iraq a crusade?)
