AT forums sure is full of alot of bitter people though :p . It does seem a bit suspicious I mean, even over 2 years thats like a 3000$ computer, I mean 1500 a year, 125 a month. My allowance never reached that, what did you do for the cash?

I made the money any chance I got.
Many various tasks. Sold a lot of my old stuff on ebay, saved allowance, yard work, jobs around the house, etc etc.

As for my percieved assumptions, there were good reasons to them. Yes they maybe uncalled for, but I'm playing devil's advocate right now. Hard forums has a pretty bad rep here. Also, posting your rig is boastful. Saying you're "only 15" only implies that you're going to attempt to post "smart, intelligible" things to make others percieve that you are just some "humble 15 yr old kid."

Of course that's just some wild assumption, but it's true for many many kids. Sorry for being rude, and yes, I do not know you, so I have no right to completely judge you.

But, as you can tell from some of the posts in your welcome thread, we've already "been there done that," and have already seen other young people follow the same trend.

Ill keep this in mind. Sorry for getting off to a bad start. On forums im used to, its kind of normal to post your computers specs in your sig. I didnt know.

everyone posts their rig. As of now, you probably have the best rig in this forum lol. Maybe using MyAnandtech won't be too boastful (the feature where you input your rig information, and link it from your sig. Just look at my sig).

I think the biggest mistake you made was just saying you're 15. Credibility comes with age, and posting an age-range where there's no credibility factor, like 15, already made you unpopular among a few people here. 15 yr old w/ super rig = bad first impression. :p

A simple hi would have been perfectly fine.

Here's how it works: You're a total noob until you hit mb 1k posts, and then you can POSSIBLY have some degree of credibility. Use Urbandictionary, A LOT. Don't start a lot of new threads until you know EXACTLY what people are going to post in response.

AKA:

Hi!

(And you're not putting up a bad defence for a newbie ;) )

When will people learn!

A question you should ask yourself, now ;)

Besides, I'd rather he get attention like this instead of posting a thread like:

YAGT: OMG She won't let me hit it

So dude, like, we're both like, 15, and I've known her for a week and liek we've gone out on a date like 2 times and now we should have secks, right? Well then she just left and I think mb I should call her and tell her that I'd use protection, right?

Pee ess: This is my frist post on Anandtech and I have a Überrig that I like, bought all by my own, like, and I think she thinks I'm sexy because of it because she took one of my 7800GTX's but I didn't notice because my FPS counter was broken from "overflow errors" hope you will give me some totally awesome advice.

THANKS!

~JME Fidelity

Am I right? AND he's listening to our input... BONUS!
