.............and they want $63 god damn dollars for the thing! Who are they kidding? The first Subway I called said it was around $65, and I surely thought he was misinformed, so I called another place. Sure enough, the guy gave me a price of $63 and change after tax. I can get 6 12" subs for less than $20, why in the hell would I pay a $40 premium for a big continuous piece of bread that will not be in one piece no longer than 10 minutes after I get it home? Hell, I'm sure they don't even come like that, they just show it like that on the commercial.

Thankfully, the second guy I talked to told me that they always recommend people to get a party platter instead, as it's much cheaper and more affordable than the infamous 6' sub. I wonder how many people they scam with the $63 sandwich?

Usually these subs are MUCH thicker than a normal sub. A 2" long sub will easily feed a person.

well, for starters, 6 12" subs would cost you more like $30-34. And a 6' sub is closer to 12 12" subs because the bread is much wider.

Yeah, the party sub is 6' feet long and about 8 inches wide last time I remember seeing one. As opposed to the normal 3 or so inches that the regular sub gets you.

where are you finding 6 12" subs for under $20? :Q and why wouldn't you just buy them instead of going through subway?

at my local deli, at least, 6 12" subs would come close to $50.

i work at a jersey mike's sub shop, and our 6 foot subs are about that price. but we use the equivalent of 4 of our giant subs for a 2 foot section. we make 3 two foot sections for a 6 foot sub(duh). so the bread is bigger, and we put alot of meat on it, and then all the toppings, and all the sides and everything that come with it. our prices usually are $12-$15/ft depending on what sub you choose. they are alot bigger than normal subs, and a 6 foot sub feeds about 25 people or so depending on whos eating and what else is being served.

You do realize that the super sized subs are also wider.

I know Blimpie's large subs 3 - 6 ft subs are atleast 4 times wider

I love it when people start complaining when they're grossly misinformed and dont bother to research it.

What is the odds everyone is going to agree on toppings? Better to purchase individual subs.
