Just built a new computer and it shuts off after 30 seconds

I just put together a system with:

Shuttle SN95G5
Athlon64 3000
2 512 PC3200
120 GB 7200 RPM SATA HD
16x Liteon DVDRW
ATI 9600 AIW

It powers up fine without any errors but approximately 30 seconds after it will just shut off. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks.

you forgot to mention your power supply.

but it sounds like a heat problem to me. check and make sure your heatsink is properly attached.

Its tightly seated on the processor. It is the heatsink module that comes with the Shuttle Case and I spread a thin layer of thermal compound before attaching it.

Boot into the bios and watch the temps. If the temps don't move and it still shuts down then its not thermal.

MX2times asked a good question. What is your power supply and especially the amps on your +12V rail? Athlon64's need plenty of power there. CPU fan not getting up to speed could also cause automatic shutdown - does your BIOS check this?

yeah it was the temperature...apparently the processor and the heatsink weren't in direct contact...thanks

At least it wasn't an older XP chip, or you would have a keychain.
