Damn it, I just broke a molar!
Now I have a sharp edge ripping my tongue. And my dentist does not have an available time 'till Nov 3. This seriously sucks. They don't think it's an emergency since I have no sensitivity to heat/cold.

I just had to have this chicken, damn it.

I don't know how it happened... I guess the wall around the filling got too thin. My dentist wanred me I should have a crown put on it sooner rather than later. Now it happened - one of the edges is chipped and gone.

Major $$$ ahead :(

Just be thankful you have that date. I have 5th january. I have about 1/4 or 1/3 of my tooth missing. Very sensitive for anything to get in.

I had a filling fall out after years. Then the tooth started to crumble and now quit a fat chuck is missing. And anything going in hurts like a mofo :(

My tooth broke back in december on the day of my wedding shower.. a filling fell out and took the innerside with it as well. It was sharp for about a week and then i got used to it. My dentist now says she has to do a few tests to see if the tooth is still alive and then we'll see about capping and such. EXPENSIVE

I've had 7 cavities slowly forming over the last few years, and a piece of a molar broke off a few months back. All of my wisdom teeth are trashed and need to be removed. Thankfully the others are salvagable. No insurance means it's gonna cost a buttload and thusly I don't even know when I'll be able to get it fixed. It's situations like mine that cause people to want universal health care. (note I'm not saying that I particularly agree or disagree with that)

Yeah basically the same as mine :( apart from it is to the nerve and it hurts like a mofo :(

Slycat that was more in my younger and more silly days as a little kid. Of course I do everything now but it is too late for the teeth that I knackered out when I was younger :(

i work in the dental field. call your dental office back and tell them your tooth is very sharp and ask if you can have a temporary filling put in today and then get the permanent one at your Nov 3 appt.
tell them you have a friend who is a Dental Hygienist and she said to call and ask for this.

GOOD LUCK!

I have a major appointment tommorrow and I'm nervous and excited at the same time.
Basically I'm gonna get a bridge for 2 tooth that are going to be pulled.
The problem is the dentist tells me I need to wait at least 2 months before I can have the bridge because the gum needs time to swell down.
So I can't go around missing 2 tooth for 2+ months so I have to wear this fake thing(he tells me its called flipper).

I'm nervous as hell because 1 tooth is bad and needs to be pulled but the one next to it is fine.
But its crooked so he recommend that should be pulled too and build a bridge for both tooth.
He tells me my teeth will look great by doing this so I took his advice.

I feel all your pains as I've been in and out of the dental office for the past 3 months but it'll be great when I can smile again.

Oh and yeah, this will cost me big time......$4000+ after everything is completed.....even with insurance.
