just bought the most expensive TV in my life

yesterday i bought a 26" Sharp Aquos LCD TV from costco for $1800+tax. its the most expensive tv ever for me and i'm liking every minute of watching it. Right now i have it sitting on the stand it came with, but i want to mount it onto the wall. I google wall mount and there are so many of them, i don't know which one i need or which one is good. can anybody share some experience or comments?

i just bought it from circuit city a few weeks ago. nice TV.

If you live in the NYC area, JandR Music World had it listed for $1699 when I bought it. CC had it for like $2199 and PM'd it for me.

mine was $1799 plus tax from costco, the local CC has it for $1899. i also have the peace of mind knowing that costco will take it back if it breaks in a few years.

I just saw dells ad for their 26"LCD TV, its only $1499 with free shipping. and for $1999, i get can a 30". any experience with Dell LCD TVs?

i think dell's are rebranded magnavox's. not sure. check avsforum.

costco has been changing their return policies lately

hm. i got my costco return info from the costco thread in Hot Deals. people and costco employees reported they have no time limit on their return policy. that was the main reason i chose to buy mine from costco. but now i see this dell ad today that can save me $300 or upgrade to a 30" for $200, i'm torn once again.

costco recently changed their return policy for computers. I've also read rumors on fatwallet that they might start to tighten their policies on other items because their current policy is costing too much money.

cool, i picked up a 50" DLP 2 weeks ago and i am loving every minute of it! i got my HD box last tuesday and yesterday, football in HD was a treat 🙂

Not to be critical, but why not go for a 42 Plasma instead? They can be had for almost the same price, and for a couple of hundered more you can get it with HD capabilities

is the 42 plasma tv the big square one that stick out about 1.5feet on the back? or is that a projection tv. i'm not too sure on tvs as i didn't readup on them. when the wife and I looked at the different selections at costco, this Sharp tv looked the most, well, sharp compared to all the other lcds or bigscreens. and also the tv is for our bedroom so we can't fit a huge one in there anyways. i also realized that for less money than i paid for the Sharp, i could have gotten a huge bigscreen. but the picture quality on the bigscreen was terrible when compared side by side.

Plasmas are the ones that are about 3" deep.

i just took a quick look on CC. most of their 42" plasmas are around 3000 and higher for name brands. thats not 'almost the same price' as $1799. if you can point me to a name brand thats almos the same price, i'm all ears.

I bought this one last month (from this store, not that I necessarily recommend them):

Dear XXXXX,

There is no time limit on returns for TV's. You will receive your
shipping charge at the time of the refund as well.

what is the return policy on LCD tvs. there is no time period written
anywhere on your return policy. what if it breaks in a few years and
I am not completely satisfied then? If i buy from costco.com, will my
shipping fees be refunded when i return?

thank you

wow...sh!t...decisions decisions

$1900 for 26" - it's the size that matters!!

Screw name brand - I'd drop $2k on a 42" plasma. That's for a lesser brand, but you can get into better 42" for low 2000's
