I just purchased 2 sticks of 128 Mushkin rev 3 222 sdram. They were $133.00 /stick. Shipping and handling was free. I was thinking about putting them in my Abit BH6 rev 1.0 MB, but Mushkin support recommended not to install them in my motherboard. So, now I was thinking of purchasing a new motherboard and cpu? What is recommended? I can still wait awhile, I'm in no hurry. Thanks.

PS I was thing of MSI KT7 Pro 2A/ CPU(undecided)

Current system:
Abit BH6 Rev1.0 Celeron 300a od 450mhz
Corsair 128 sdram pc100
Vodoo3 AGP
SBLive PCI
WD 8gb hd

:)

Yo rgf,
I don't have much to add but I thought I'd share my experience. I just built this system yesterday:

MSI K7T Pro 2-A
Duron 650 Retail
Creative Annihlitor 2
256 Kingston Value Ram 256 Meg Cas2 PC100
40 Gig Maxtor ATA 100 7200 RPM HD
Plextor CDRW 12/10/32
Floppy
Antec SX1030B w/300W power supply

and I must say it was painless. I didn't have any problems booting or with any hardware not being recognized. It was awesome because this was my first time building a system. There's a lot of people out there who feel the K7T Pro 2A is the motherboard to get now that it's out. Stability is the biggest selling point though, I don't think it is the fastest mobo around. I am currently having some trouble overclocking which I described in this thread, but I wouldn't be suprised if I'm just doing something completely wrong cause it's my first time oc'ing too.

The memory would be overkill for an AMD setup, but that is the best value right now and the K7T Pro2a is the board of choice for that.

To Stonythug and Paulip 88,
Thanks for the input. I have been building systems for about six years now, and I thought that my current system would last for about three years. Now, I would like to purchase a motherboard that has atleast "fixed" the bottleneck between the system memory and cpu. I've been looking around, and I do like the MSI kt7 pro2a. My first system was a Packard Hell 66MHZ. The second was an AMD 486dx4 100mhz. I don't remember the motherboard. I think it was from the Abyss. All that I remember that it had a bridge that fit into the last pci slot and connected to the first isa slot. The third was a P1 100mhz oc'd to 120mhz w/SuperMicro mb. The fourth was a P1 166 oc'd to 200mhz w/ P5MMS SuperMicro. I still have that one. It's in the back bedroom.

My current system is in my computer room. Abit Bh6 Cel300A oc'd 450mhz. As you can see, I've been addicted to building my own systems for along time. I guess I'm hooked.
Thanks again,

rgf
By the way, where can I find a comparison chart on all of the current CPU's? Thanks:)

Why don't you wai untill the KT133A motherboards come out ? Add to one of the T-bird 850 guarantted to 1GHz+, take the multiplier down to 8 and the fsb to 133 and hopefully you can get to 1064 MHz.

Either wait for the KT133A Chipset and get an MSI K7T Turbo, or if you decide to buy now get an MSI K7T Pro2-A with a 1Ghz Tbird (only $186).
