Just bought some GeiL PC4000.. Here are my results.

I determined the stability with sandra stress tests and other high graphic benchmarks.

This ram can easily do 600mhz at this voltage, the problem is my processor caps at 3.5ghz(1.6vcore) so I can't get that extra 10mhz fsb to get to my goal =< Oh well, Im still extremely happy with this rig for the price, it is truely unbeleiveable what you can do with 400 dollars =>

I got this ram to 600mhz but my processor stops responding in cpu stress tests/benchmarks.. no matter if I change the ratio to 5:4, 3:2. Even with my old PC3200 the processor capped at 3.5ghz(while stable). I can tell this ram has more in it, if you know a way to get good performance past the 300mhz fsb barrier than you can surely do it with this ram => Have fun tweaking!

That is a luck of draw, I would not generalize. I have the same ram, 2x256 and it does "only" 262, which is quad pumped to 1048 as you would say. So I think you just have been lucky. Moreover the bandwidth is lower than my Winbond BH-5 that is doing 2-2-2-6 at 5:4 with 218 on ram. Also my Radeon 9800 Pro scores better with Winbond than with this Geil, I forgot the benches but I remember vividly the difference since I was comparing that some time ago.
My friend has also bought this Geil, only 2x512, on my advice but we have not been abcle to pass 245 on Asus P4C800Dx that he has. I have P4P800.

I have some geil sticks but they have ch-5 chips on them as I assume so do those...Unfortunately I have an Abit mobo so that rules out using them for my 292fsb!!!

Maybe aneed to get me a Asus P4P800...better temps and likes higher speed ram....

joe what voltage? you really need to give this ram some juice to get it goin.. it will smoke at 3.1v, here's a link to the vdimm mod for the asus p4c800 if you haven't seen it http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=199811 . I did this mod so I can surpass the 2.85v limit on the asus p4c800. Easy and useful.
