Just bought a pick axe

Just bought a beautiful, used, rustic looking pick axe. I wanna engrave on the handle "PROPERTY OF KARLA FAYE TUCKER". What's the best way to do this ?

I usually just dig onr groove into the handle with my bowie knife... for each of my victims.

Thanks. I was thinking of something like a stencil so it wouldn't look too awful crud. I do have a dremal and I might give that a shot but I only have one chance to get it right.
