Having one specialized gadget for cooking a specific item creates a bottleneck in the cooking process, unless you're only cooking for yourself and you eat like a bird.

this is true, i can cook 6-8 pancakes at once on my griddle, they all get done at basicially the same time and are all nice and hot

the 1 pancake at a time method is stupid, because you either have luke warm pancakes or you eat only 1 at a time

Short stack/full Stack >>>> 1

I would imagine the pancakes cook extremely fast in this device since it is doing both sides at once.

KT

This would be better. (3:10)

You can't make turtle pancakes with the Perfect Pancake gadget, either. 😛

Damn. All of this pancake talk is making me hungry. 😱

Okay, I have a confession. I didn't buy the Perfect Pancake for pancake making. I bought to make over easy eggs while camping. They are my favorite way to eat eggs and I always fuck up the flip. I was hoping that the Perfect Pancake would be a Perfect Egg Flipper.

You'd better make sure it's not a violation of applicable laws to use the device in a manner inconsistent with the directions.

I think I remember the commercial suggesting using it for eggs too.
Damn, the Perfect Pancake sure is versatile! 😛

I've never felt so used in all my life. You lied to me!

I am sorry. Would it make you feel better if I attempted a pancake with this device?

this thread did make me appreciate my iron skillet more 😀 thanks OP.

Err good luck with your perfect pancake, hopefully it works well?

it doesn't do both sides at once, you have to flip it over. LOL

Well that's not what it looked like, how the hell was I supposed to know that?

It would make me feel better if you attempted a waffle with it. If you succeed, you will be a God among men.

I think it's already been said, but this device only cooks one side at a time, however, instead of flipping the pancake to cook the other side, you flip the entire pan.

It MIGHT work ok for that...practice a few before you go camping...

I'm lucky, my wife makes KILLER pancakes (and eggs)...with just a skillet and spatula, at home, OR camping. (which we haven't done in almost 15 years)

Waffles are good eats. Different than pancakes, (batter is different too) but each is good in its own way. I prefer pancakes smothered in strawberry jam instead of syrup most of the time, and occasionally I like Roger's Golden Syrup (from B.C.) on them for a nice change of taste.

I wonder if they still sell those metal pieces you were supposed to cook with omelettes to prevent sticking to the pan.

Moran...you use a butane torch on the top while it's on the stove. DUH!

Aha! Now I'm on to your devious scheme... your plan was to sign up here, build up a presence over the course of a year, and then start shilling for Perfect Pancake!
I, for one, am not falling for your ruse!

To answer the OP - nope, don't have one, haven't ever used one, could be excited for you, depending on what you are going to be doing with the stuff you cook in it. 😉

But why anyone in their right mind would buy this over a waffle iron is beyond me. Waffles are vastly superior to pancakes.

Somewhere there is a bunny that disagrees with you.

If this thing is coated with teflon, I don't think I'd want to use it over a campfire.

You got me! It has been my intention since last year to promote the Perfect Pancake by buying a USED one at Goodwill and the posting a thread about it. 😛

A pankcake maker? WTF is wrong with some of you? WHy the need for a specialized tool for such a simple task? Remember the quesadilla maker thread?
