I'd rather save my time and be sure that I won't have to run back to the store by getting a great cable from the get go. I value my time much more than that.

In other news, Big Lots now has 10' HDMI cables for $8. I LOVE that store 🙂
With any digital cable, it works or it doesn't. There's no "in-between" that is determined by cable quality. You could soldier coat hangers to the contacts on your HDMI devies and it would do the same thing as a $250 HDMI cable.

in fact, they tested this here
a good read and hilarious. I'm for the it's a digital transmission, either you get it or you dont. None of this artifact shiat that people are talking about here. Thats why digital is a much better medium for transmission than analog.

no, no, no, no
You do NOT either get it or you don't. Sure there is nothing special about digital, but if a cable is not up to snuff then you have a good possibility for errors.
