The prices have gone through the roof. I am seeing them go for over 2k now.

Did anyone eles buy an AR this past week? Guys at the gun store said they have not seen anything like this in the 30 years they have been open.

They sold out in less then 3 hours and had over 30 ar-15's.

Obama Makes one hell of a gun salesman. He should get an award.

Now I need to get some ammo and some 30 round clips, a prism sight. Not sure what ammo to get for it.

you're going to have a rough time finding ammo and mags right now unless you want to get price gouged.

I buy wolf military classic for just plinking/target shooting. I have 2 or so cases of federal xm193 i think. never had a problem with the wolf feeding or extracting. I;ve compared it's accuracy to the PMC, S&B, and the federal and those brands are a little better than the wolf but not by any significant amount.

Yes, he has probably brought more revenue to gun and accessory sales then ever, he's probably generated more membership to the NRA then ever, overall, you would think he'd be the pinnacle of who a gun owner would want as president. Except, it is sort of a shitty deal for the owner because all the buying is based on fake demand, demand that we make in our own heads and not based on reality.

He's a boon to the gun world, but it's a huge pain in the ass for the guy who just wants a box of 9mm ammo or maybe go buy a rifle. I'm not allowed to scope it out anyway

I bought a AR15 A2 a few months before this hooplah, but it is actually the post AWB version lol, so it has no rail or flash suppressor.

Good luck finding magazines, Brownells was reporting that they've sold more magazines in the past 72 hours than they did in the last three years D:

I don't shoot my AR much, so I have no need for buying overpriced ammo, and the serfs in California can't have 30 round magazines anyway. I am tempted to flip the stripped lower I bought a few months ago though.

In Missouri, along I-70, you will see a gajillion advertisement signs. Like the most you will see in the entire country. The reason for this? There was some legislation being proposed that said you would be severely limited on placing ad signs along I-70 to keep the area natural looking.

So what did everyone do? They went out and fucking built these things everywhere. There are so many, they can't even find companies (even non profit ones) to put messages on them.

Want to know what happened? Nothing fucking happened. The legislation never happened. Everyone wasted their money and the area looks like shit.

Moral of the story, American's are fucking stupid. We act on fear and buy shit we don't need. All that matters to us is the "idea" that we can't have something.

When I bought mine, I was telling people "When you'll need one you won't be able to buy one, by then it will be too late"

Derp derp derpie da derp derp derp!

Maybe I will sell some extra mags and gouge people. It pays to be prepared :awe:

I wanted the gun long before this crazyness. I just never did it. (WIFE AGRO) This alowed me to get past the wife AGRO, because if I can't get it later then I fixed that by getting it now.

I'm not saying you made the wrong choice, but I just hate that this has happened constantly within the firearms market ever since Obama was elected. There is just no stability anymore.

Obama elected, everyone buy guns and ammo! Shooting just happened, everyone buy guns and ammo! Did you hear about serial # bullets? Buy all the bullets!

I'm so sick of this! It's fucking over the people who just want to go target shooting or make a planned purchase, like you wanted to.

I bet you if he said, "Hmm...why do we need magnum calibers? We should just have regular version..." The entire magnum market would disappear overnight. Or if he said, "Why do we need bayonets?" You would see the neglected bayonet market disappear.

It's bizarre. If I were a graduate student in marketing, I would do my masters thesis on Obama and his effect on the gun market and gun ownership in the US.

Mizzou, I agree with you. Sucks for the people who like to plan shit out like me. Now I'll likely not even be able to own what I wanted.

Another example of what you were saying, as soon as Obama got reelected, which was like a week after I got my first handgun, everyone freaked out and all the ammo disappeared or got super expensive.

Its weird how so many people can be against a gun ban and yet it is pushed anyway. The sales numbers show it in my opinion.

I am looking to get a DPMS MK12. Everywhere I call says they are sold out of assault rifles. Gun demand has been stimulated.

Any gun owners here planning on liquidating their inventory and making some cash? Seems like now is the perfect time to do so. And when stricter gun laws inevitably DON'T come to pass, you can just buy your stuff back for less.

And besides, it's not like any of you need guns anyway.

Magazines, not clips (I doubt you're looking for stripper clips).

Wtf is a prism sight?

Ammo to get for it? .223 cal or 5.56mm.

I need guns to protect myself from Libruls.

Hahaha, I bought 10 surplus G3 magazines for my PTR 2 years ago when they were .99 cents off of cheaper than dirt. I just looked now....$5. Way to go CTD!

Good choice, can't go wrong with a colt. I was wanting to pick a stripped lower for a future build but that isn't happening now.

For ammo my preference is Federal XM193. But XM193, 855, PMC, and any brass Federal is good to go. For cheapo plinking steal case is fine as well. Right now everything is sold out so your either going to have to wait or get gouged.

It's not a 'need,' it's just a fun hobby that a bunch of nuts construct their identity around.
