Was looking for a Honda Civic or an Integra in the FS/T forum though but found myself walking into the wrong dealer.
I just went there to look around and see what happens? I walk away with a car. Frikken dealers can't take no for an answer lol.
Can anyone tell me if this car is any good? Color is yellow with manual trans btw. All supped up basically.
Thanks

Yeah... I'm stupid... Basically I went in there to look around at Civics and Integras and this damn sales man bought me. He wouldn't take "no" for an answer.
Maybe it's because I'm a young 20 year old who has no experience... Stupid me...

So, it's the salesman's fault that you can't say no? It's not like you were buying a shirt or something...

Maybe it's because I'm a young 20 year old who has no experience... Stupid me...

Even worse. You should know better by that age :)

Yeap... I went alone into the dealership... LOL a "no" "no" I'll never forget.
I needed a car though, for work and school but I wouldn't think you can actually buy one soooo fast these days.
But sitting here now and commenting on something that happened not even an hour ago is jsut amazing.
I just got sold to the sales man...

Lesson learned. Always take your parents to the car dealer :D.

If you like it thats all that really matters. I think they have MOST of the bugs worked out of these by now so hopefully you wont have to many problems. Don't these have like a 7 year 100k mile warranty on them? If you plan to just sell it and get something else in two years or so you are probably going to lose a lot of money since these car depreciate rather quikly.

I would have waited for the neon srt :D

Heh... car looks ok... I can't complain about it... but the fact is that I only went in there to look at cars, not to buy them lolz... Man i feel stupid now, got sold to the damn salesman.

Edit
But that's how they make money... Off youngsters like me :disgust:.

Mind if we ask what options it has, transmission (auto or manual), and how much you paid for it?

BTW I think you have 24 hours to change your mind and take the car back without losing any money. Might piss off the salesman though :p.

OMG, its not an import. You're lucky he didn't force a Neon SRT on you. I mean, who would want that? You really got to have a civic, right? That way you can rice it up and be real cool, right?

There is nothing wrong with a neon. Its a fine car.

Neon's are fine cars. :D

A yellow R/T. Hmmm, I didn't know they came in that color. Is it a SXT? Or is it a R/T. Well you made a good choice, those car's are dope. I have a 2k Neon and it's doing fine for me. :)

It has all optioins a Neon can have... basically everything... on the outside is rear spoiler, rims and basically everything you can stick on a Neon at a dealership... all together it cost me $20000 canadian for a 4 year financing term... color is yellow with manual transmission btw...
car looks good but it all happened too quickly, imho... i haven't had the time to think it over and i told the salesman i need time... he just wouldn't take no for an answer lolz... guess they're desperate to sell those.

Hey, don't sweat it. The car's cool. You just need to take good care of it, and you're going to be upside-down on it for a few years if you don't make double payments on it. If you do any bolt on or appearance mods, be aware that you decrease the resale value of the car, except to an extremely small sliver of the used car market, so save all the original parts.

Here's the NHTSA crash rating for your 2002 Neon. It didn't exactly do that great against the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla or Nissan Sentra. But at least you didn't score like a Chevy Cavalier.

For an overall crash test look at the compact car market, see here.

Not exactly a fine car considering the alternatives for not THAT much more. Neons are notoriously loud and harsh-sounding, but they've supposedly fixed a lot of that up by adding frames to the door windows. If the thing about being able to cancel the deal within 24 hours is correct, consider it seriously. This time take your time in making that decision, and don't sign anything!

Well, heck, that's about $13K USD so it sounds like a bargain.

lol, you got sold buddy :)

You got it with 0% financing right? Mind if I ask how much per month? Is there a difference whether you choose to pay monthly or bi-weekly since the cost to finance is 0%? Some ads I see limit 0% financing to 3yrs only. So in that case, do they start to calculate interest on load on the 4th year? Or does the past 3yr's interest get tacked on as well?

Congrats on the new ride, enjoy the nice car smell while its still there. Quick, run out and smell it!! :p

I own one. I love it. How did you get one in yellow though? The only four colors the R/T comes in is Black, White, Red, and Silver. Maybe it's a US thing.

No sorry, guys. It is a Neon LE, not a R/T... I had both cars on the table and forgot which one I chose... But I think I'm gonna pass on this. This guy tricked me to hell. I told him I wasn't there to buy any damn thing yet, but he either played a moron that didn't understand English or knew very well what was going on, but just played stupid with me. He may think he sold another car to a 20 year old like me but I'm not stupid. I'm gonna call them and get my downpayment money back. I just hope I don't have to visit the dealership and see these idiots again. It was too quick of a sale.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

Didn't any of that ever occur to you as you sat there signing papers and discuss pricing and terms? Uh wtf lol.

I know very little about the car, and while I personally would've got something else, that doesn't matter. What matters is it sounds like you are mad that you got "tricked" into it and you don't like or want the car so see if that 24hr thing is true!

Uh wtf lol.

LMAO, my reaction exactly. I dont know what to say, its sad that you got "suckered" into buying it, but buying a financed car isnt a 5 minute impulse buy and there were plenty of opportunities for you to walk out.

LOL
He's a SALESMAN. Key work: SALES
He seemed desperate to sell it to you because it's his job to sell it to you :)
He probably sized you up for a young kid he could push a fast sale on....and he was RIGHT!
Good luck returning it :) This is one mistake you'll not soon repeat :D

Call them ASAP, ask to speak with a manager and tell them you want to rescind.

Good luck.

If you get your money back and can return the Neon, I would strongly suggest getting a Civic/Integra/Sentra.

It sure as hell will! It will piss off everyone there. It's going to be a PITA. Check the laws in your state (probably online at a .gov sive). You can make a quick decision and call a lawyer tomorrow morning to handle it quick and painlessly. It might sound spendy, and I s?pose it would cost a few hundred bucks, but he might save you thousands. The dealer could try to stall you to run out the clock. It?s hard to return a car.
