Just booted Windows 7 and 2 gadgets are gone, unavailable

Just booted Windows 7 and 2 of 3 gadgets are gone. When I right click on the screen and select "gadgets" nothing happens.

Oddly, the weather gadget is still there.??

I checked UAC and I had the highest setting which I did just after installation. I just changed it back to default but that changed nothing.

This was a clean install. However, after I posted here I shut down and went out for dinner. Later (just now in fact) I booted and there they were. Go figure.
