My old P4 1600 was overclocked to 2400 stable w/o increasing the voltage and using the factory HSF.

I'm running my Mobile XP/2600+ at 2390MHz(177x13.5) @ 1.65v using an SLK947U and an old dual ball bearing 50mm YS Tech 35cfm fan from the K6 days.

Haven't bothered to try for more.. crashing is such a PITA. I tried 2.5ghz at 1.7v and it was a no-go, then I just wanted to get on with it, so I set it a bit lower and forgot about it.. lol

I didn't realize this was the "my CPUs penis is longer than your's" which eventually turns into the "my epenis is bigger than your's" thread.

Haha my bad, I thought I got them all. Don't feel bad, I didn't get Eli's either. Just think of it this way: your OC is so good that it's unfair to compare your CPU's epenis to the others.

That's pretty common. My system is exactly the same. When the P4B's first came out and the process wasn't well-characterized, Intel would test 1-2 out of each batch and bin the entire batch accordingly. Almost every early p4 1.6B easily OC's to 2.4. :D

should you go for more? no way! i say try to go for the lowest possible speed. get a modified bios so you can go below 100mhz fsb. you'll set a record for the athlon xp :)
