America don't have to be "its either them or us". Other countries(Russia, England, France...) have given in to terrorists out of purely convenience before. I am not saying we should necessarily but lets not abandon the idea of leaving the Middle East. Lets say, BL takes Saudi Arabia as a result(which is what many want to believe automatically), what makes him anymore dangerous then he is now? He would be less dangerous. Maybe he'll be even less militant and more responsible a world citizen because he'll have a population to protect and look after like a country. Fact is, right now, he pose a greater threat to the security of the US than ALL middle countries combined, wow can one believe that? Anyways, if he's still bent on destroying america then the people of SA can either chose to overthrow him or, bluntly put, be Nuked. The Brits "gave in" many times and once even giving up america(to a quite rowdy bunch), it happens all the time for countries, nothing to be ashamed of, the idea is not NEW. But sure, for now, we need to kill OBL first.

Long story short (I'm too tired to give an involved reply at this time), if you give into terrorism then you validate it. You are basically telling the terrorists "Yes, this is an effective way to voice your opinions, and get what you want." Terrorists are the worst kind of bully, and the only way to get rid of a bully is to stand up to him.
