Anyways, back to the suject

fitzhue: its so true! Yestarday I had the exact same feeling. I walked over to the nearest burger place to get me a snack and I was sitting on the bench, waiting for my # to be called out. Then came this small bird near me. Hop-ing around, looking for food. Then some lady came out of the place and she scared the little bird away and it flew off to look for some safety. I began to think about how we have completely taken away its freedom. I know it may sound retarded, but I just felt strange. Then I realized the answer. We're obviously the top of the food chain so we have all the right. But I have to agree, from a simple bird, my mind just started going, like a chain reaction as you noted. It just started to ask why and why and bla and bla. Urg. I need to clear my head. Or write it down. I began a journal before school let out, but my busy schedule has neglected my writings. Oh well. Maybe this summer will be different.

Go to Africa or some other strange, distant country. My best friend did that for the Peace Corps. He's coming back in two months (spent 2.5 years there) I can't wait till he get's back.

Anyway...once you return from a place like that, instead of sitting in Burger King with wandering thoughts of little birds and your existence, you'll be in awe of the Burger King and how fast they can deliver fresh, crispy, french fries. Just a thought, you know, like..we have it so easy here so we think of these strange, surreal thoughts. Go somewhere with no electricity or plumbing and you'll be thinking..&quot;Damn, I gotta poo but where do I go?&quot;

Okay, enough about you...I have those &quot;Stare off into space&quot; episodes all the time. But I don't think those loftly, philosophical thoughts like you do...at least not much anyway. I usually just stare.

Johnlee: those were my thoughts. I've always wanted to venture outside this country and see the world, but of course my expenses wouldn't hold out. I've always wanted to head out to Egypt for some reason, maybe because it holds so much History, but another place where I am dying to go to is the East. Asia. Hong Kong, or Japan. I want to experience something completely different, not like your regular tourist somewhere in Europe, no! Or to the island where Darwin first began his studies in evolution. Thanks for posting, I really appreciate it

Hey Danny,

Man can I relate to those times... I embrace them... to me that is true peace... I'll actually get in my car and drive for hours just for the excuse to really think about things. What I love most of all is being able to truly reach the edges of my understanding... like... trying to imagine life without myself... or imagine life with only myself. I imagine infinity, eternity, and an ending... I question GOD, I marvel at the fact that Finite is just as dificult a concept as infinity. I marvel at our relative size to the galaxy... I marvel at Angelina Jolie's breasts... and the development of technology... I wonder what it would be like to fly, and what Jessica Alba would sound like moaning .... and of course I wonder about the after life
