Just a Test [WinXP to Win2K]

OK so I was backing up my data and Figured I would test my network speed in the proccess.

WinXP 1.6 Ghz, 512 MB Ram, 10/100 fast ethernet
Win2K 533 Mhz, 256 MB Ram, 10/100 fast ethernet
BEFSRU31 Cable/DSL Router

18 files totaling 901.54 MB

Max Transfer Rate of 5.59 MB/s
Average Transfer Rate of 3.43 MB/s

Total Time Taken: 4 minutes and 21 seconds.


Does this seem normal or is the 2K limiting my performance because of less MHz/Ram?

Just a test, dont matter if its too slow cause I can wait to transfer files I was just wondering

maby cause my XP has a 3 foot RJ-45 to the router and a 50 foot RJ-45 to the Win2K hehe Still, not too much to worrk about
