I appologise to the moderators for this post, but I have to ask this question.

Is it really necessary to post replies like "FORMAT C:" or even "go to the shower directory, open the bidet file and flush......... oh, and dweezill, don't forget to floss........." when someone is asking for help; a legitimate question for help?

I mean, does this constitue towards Trolling? I think so.

Please, I want to know? Are you only trying to post a reply so that your TOTAL POST count goes up that one more number to reach the more elite status?

shadow: i agree with you a lot of people just post to have a higher count, i think someone lied to them and told them that the bigger the post count the bigger your penis (or in ladis case maybe breast :--P )

regardless, you should just ignore them they are just useless waste of bandwidth.

Not too many thread crappers in Networking, but it does happen here in OS. I hope Shadow's post makes them think twice before clicking "reply." I guess it has to do with the anonymity of the Internet as opposed to Real Life. If you were listening to a technical conversation among a group of people and you yelled out "FORMAT C:!" they would either think you were a moron or had Tourette's Syndrome. Almost nobody wants to look that stupid in RL.

I prefer formatting D: since when you boot from a floppy in win98 it creates a ram disk for drive C:. Or even better would be mke2fs /dev/hdd1
