just want to wish a safe and happy new year to all, and remind everyone to plan ahead for transportation tonight if you havent done so already.

make sure you have a DD, or some other plan of getting home. many places offer free cab rides and/or towing to get you home tonight. hell, call your parents if you have to, or leave your keys with the bartender and sleep it off in your car. while inconvenient, its nothing compared to a dui. or worse hurting or killing someone else. how will you live with yourself if you hurt someone else?

ive had a dui, and it sucks. luckily, i had no wrecks or hurt anyone. the guilt and shame were worse than any fines or probation. its just not worth it. i know most people, myself included, never intend to drive after imbibing. but when youre drunk, you cant think clearly. so make that decision while sober, and plan accordingly. its one of the smartest decisions youll ever make.

not trying to preach, here. i just dont want to see anyone get hurt or hurt others.
