Hey, so I'm thinking about buying 2 sticks of 4GB Memory.

G.Skill RIPJAW.

Now I've been told for my personal use, I won't see a huge difference between 1333 and 2133 BUT I feel for the price, I can't go wrong.

Also, on Newegg, its the SAME EXACT price for a 1600 to a 1866. No brainer there.

So, Im on Ebay and I see what I want - 2 sticks of 4GB RIPJAWS. They are 2133mhz. It's $65 dollars. BUT I have a $37 dollar Ebay coupon that I need to use in 4 days or it expires. This brings it down to $28 dollars. I'd think that is a deal?

I tried looking on Ebay for any other parts to my system I may need, like motherboard and processor to use my Ebay coupon on but this RAM seems like the best deal. 2133mhz.

Thoughts and opinions?

Thank you : )

Yeah I run them in my system. I've had them to DDR3-2400 11-11-11-28 @ 1.55v too. 2200 11-11-11-28 @ 1.5v, 1866 9-9-9-25 @ 1.5v, 1600 8-8-8-27 @ 1.475v.

I run them at 2133 10-10-10-28 @ 1.475v

HCI memtest & memtest86 stable to 500% coverage. Prime custom blend using max available memory 16hours stable too.

The other good thing about these is since memory at 2133 or 1600 doesn't produce real world performance differences that are tangible enough, you can run 1.35v and save some energy. I only run mine at 2133 because I like overclocks and I figure why not. The bonus is they're ultra low profile (barely as tall as the motherboard's memory clips) so every cooling system available will fit without clearance issues.

Ah yes, you do hold a point about the clearance. Very true. Didnt think about that. Thanks a lot. : )
