Just 2 simple questions

I did a long wait for I7 2600K just to cut of my graphic card cost. But still the rumor clouds are still roaming around my heard. I heard we still need additional GPU even if I7 2600K comes with inbuld GPU. Would appreciate if someone can clarify this. and the second question is, what average motherboard is suitable for I72600K.

Previously I had decided I7 950 and Gigabyte UD3r with GTX 460 but the gtx460 was going out of my reach and so I chose to wait for I7 2600K. So,
1) Do I still need external GPU like GTX 460 for I7 2600K or will it play any game without external GPU?

2) What average cost motherboard is good for this if I go for high end gaming.

All the new Sandy Bridge CPU's have integrated graphics. To use it you need a motherboard with the H67 chipset, which has a trade-off in that you cannot overclock. The P67 chipset allows overclocking but not internal graphics. A discreet GPU can be used with any Sandy Bridge motherboards.

The integrated graphics are improving, but if you are a gamer and looking at a GTX 460 you will not be happy. You will need to add a graphics card.

No, not at all. That's one hell of a chip. In fact it's probably overkill for your needs. You could have bought a I5-2500K for less $ and used the savings toward a GPU.

What I'm saying is the 3000 integrated graphics in the i7-2600K are not sufficient for high-end gaming, to use your key words. The equivalent might be an ATI HD 5570 or maybe a little better, which is ok for an HTPC playing blu-rays and casual use but not gaming. What games do you play, and at what resolution?

If you have a P67 mobo you have no onboard graphics - period
No matter what CPU you buy.

If you're intending to use the machine for playing newer games you should get a proper graphics card. Something like i7-2500k +p67 mobo + ATI6870 / nvidia GTX 560 is a nice setup at a reasonable cost

Well, I like all action high graphical games, like Medal of honor, call of duty, left for dead etc

so the scenario is, I would still be need a good gpu even if i get I72600K. thanks for info guys.
