tell them you can tell if someone is guilty or not by the color of their skin or just by the looks of them

You have anxiety issues to work out.

And drama issues.

Extended periods of time without real employment has made me nervous. I don't like the idea of taking off work for any period of time so early into employment. That is it, period.

yes, but you're not taking time off. the government has mandated you to show up or be jailed. i'm pretty sure every employer understands this.. if not.. you probably don't want to be working with them.

dude, i did this before, i got paid from work, and a small check from the county for showing up for about one hour. i was going to fry the guy, but he accepted the plead bargin.

You've got a great sense of civic duty, OP. I applaud you.

*sigh*

I don't mind jury duty.

I do mind taking time off of a job that I have only been at 2 months. I also mind losing a day's pay for a measly $40.

I also don't want someone to do my work while I am away, furthering their chances at taking my position one day.

If I was at my job a year or so, I wouldn't mind. Heck, I would probably even find it fun. But right now if I am chosen, I will outright screw someone on purpose.

You have serious issues. You need to see someone about them.

The feelings you have are normal, but to react to them the way you are isn't.

Now you know why you should NEVER register to vote.
Jury selection HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VOTER REGISTRATION!

You still shouldn't register to vote, since our elections are decided by the courts! WMDs never existed! Cheney kills dozens a year with his assault shotgun that should be banned! Your SUV makes me sick! Our foreign policy is emperialistic! The government should distribute weed on the streets! *head explodes*

I live in NY and have gotten out of jury duty a few times with various reasons.

Your employer cannot fire you for going to jury duty, period.
You should check with your employer if they offer any pay while you are at jury duty.

Also if you've gotten by without a job for 2.5 years I'm sure you can swing a week or two more. Jury duty usually doesnt last longer than that.

I hope you get sequestered. You are a complete tool.

QFT. One can only hope that someday the OP will end up in a situation where it is obvious he is not guilty, but the jury convicts just to screw him because they had a bad day.

I'm sure they are going to fire you over having jury duty...

LOL, I am just being paranoid I guess. I have been there 2 months and already taking time off? That can't look good to employers. 🙁

you should be fired for not being to bright...

QFT...

WTF dude... I think they'll drop you just because of your irrational reaction to all this in the first place... I wouldn't want you on jury duty.

People wonder why America is going to hell? This is why. Everyone thinks the entire fvcking world revolves around them. Those other people you see? Yeah, they have lives too.

you are seriously an assh0le, to actually think about ruining an innocent man's life or let a guilty person go because jury duty is not convenient for you right now

seriously what the fvck is wrong with you thinking like that...

here is an idea let me know what court you need to report to and your real name and i'll send them a copy of copy of this thread..im sure a judge will look it over and never allow you to be in a jury again....problem solved.
