I'd do it in a heartbeat, but there would is not a sane defense attorney that would allow me to.

think there's something wrong with a system where someone can be picked three times before I'm picked once. I want to do my part but haven't had the opportunity.

Where I live, you don't have to wait to be picked. You can go down and volunteer. That way you can try to serve when you actually have the time.

Wow, I wish I knew that... I'd have actually liked to have served jury duty, to see how it all works. (as long as it wasn't a boring case.) I was called in for a child molestation case... I really don't think a teacher would make the best juror... as far as the defense is concerned, and I gave them every opportunity to understand my position that I found it doubtful a child was going to be in a courtroom, being forced to tearfully describe the incident, but be lying. That's a lot to put a child through... the guy looked like a scumbag, and while I didn't know him, I knew he had a really shady background.
