Jury duty from hell! 12 months!!

Yea, I read that this morning.... they aren't deliberating anymore, they're planning to kill him.

unAmerican pigs deserve to die for complaining about jury duty! They don't deserve to live here if they can't donate their time and perform their civic duty! They have no right to complain! :disgust:

You kind of need to give a reason. You can't just tell the judge "I'm bored. I'm not coming back."

I'm actually impressed that these people are so strong with their convictions that they are willing to stay deadlocked for 4 months and do what they consider to be the right thing.

I agree that skipping jury duty is unconscionable, but 12 months. DAMN!!!

I was just kidding, lol. That's just the typical generic reaction you get from most people when you bring up jury duty though 🙂

Exactly what I was thinking.

If they actually paid people for their time, it would be a different story. When they only give you $7/day, makes it very difficult to give a sh!t.

Actually, I believe some Federal juries have up to two year stints. They are paid decently though and are only used to decide whether a case has merit enough to go to trial.

Why not, what's he going to do? Give you community service? 30 days in the county jail? You'd still be out of there before the other jurors finished.

Thing is how can you have a fair trial. I mean by the end on the first month or 2 I would just vote the same way others are, and that is usually guility.

Feasibly he could hold you until the end of the trial or until you agreed to go back.

What I get incensed about is that everyone else in the courtroom is making at least low 6 figure salaries yet are using jurors as slave labor.
