Damn. A movie franchise that I really liked (despite the critics...I like a good thrill/scare) is going to force me to watch something totally unbelievable...and I'll watch it just b/c I liked the first 3. 😱
 
Bloody-Disgusting learned this weekend that Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for Jurassic Park IV, which will film in Kauai, Hawaii later this year! Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise as Dr. Ellie Sattler as Sam Neill will NOT return. We're told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes. Based on the I can now safely declare that this franchise has entered 'ridiculous sequel mode'. Watch for more news soon

I was watching a show on Discovery the other night about a scientist who is working on cloning an animal that's been extinct for about 60 years. Made me realize that Jurassic Park could actually be possible, one day. Just need to find some viable DNA, put it all back together, and find a surrogate that can handle it. Too bad it will happen way after we're all dead.. I'd like to see it.

I'm gonna wait for someone more reliable. the plot sounds jsut way too stupid.

I'm willing to bet Spielberg is attached it in someways, maybe as a producer. and this is a complete departure from the series its just down right ridiculous. Assuming he had any say in it, they'd can this on the spot. the writer who came up with it would be blacklisted from hollywood.

Whats not to love? Dinosaurs, guns, explosions, exploding dinosuars, velociraptors sniping, T-Rex with rocket launcher.

It doesn't matter how dumb the idea is. Just on the name alone it'll gross $150 million domestic, another $100 million foreign and another $100 million in DVD sales. Toss in the merchandising rights and it could score 0% at RT and still make a $500 million profit. They'd be idiots not to make it.

You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have dinosaurs with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!
 
So I take it the dinosaurs with their guns and bombs are the antagonist and dolphins with {Dr Evil} lasers {/Dr Evil} are the protagonists?
