I still need to learn the right way to take neat pictures through a telescope, though.
Well I broke out my weak telescope last night and checked it out.
it was pretty cool!!
pretty close to the moon, so it wasn't hard to find. it appeared to be the only star in the sky at the time.
but anyhoo i could see a small bluish-looking ball, and what appeared to be several tiny balls of light around it, which I am assuming were the moons but I'm not sure. even though it wasn't very clear in my crappy telescope, it was still really interesting. i will look again tonight![]()
Cue the flood of "Jupiter will be as large as the moon tonight" emails.
There's bunches of stuff you can see naked eye too.
Just seeing the Milky Way from a nice dark place is awe inspiring.
