This will be a wait 5-10 years for netflix option unless fiancee wants to see it and we redbox it for $1 and change.

170 million plus for this turd. After speed racer and this wachowskis never getting a tent pole gig again.

Cloud Atlas? They seem to keep getting shots even after several failures in a row.

I have not seen it yet, but I am planning to go tomorrow. I'm almost more intrigued by it now for some reason. :hmm:

No, just The Matrix. I thought it was brilliant. It has a mathematical/computer plot really where a positive and a negative can cancel each other out. Funny thing about The Matrix is that you learn something new every time you watch it.

I bought the box set.

I think they hedged their bets with American sniper.

Nah I don't think it was a conscious "hedge". American Sniper blew away estimates. I had an estimate that was higher than any that I have read and they blew past that. More over, it looks like it's actually doing better in foreign box than previous American war genre movies.

Still, will be praying for Jupiter Ascending.

No arguments there

Going to pass on this as well. The trailers + reviews make the movie seem pretty bad. I'll probably watch it on Netflix 2 years from now when Netflix decides to put it out.

Ugh, watched American Sniper and thought it was a bleh movie overall.

How anyone could watch the trailer for this movie, many many months ago (maybe over a year?) and have any delusions about it not sucking royal ass...that's baffling.

I can't even believe the title got greenlit. Just the title. Everything else was a dead man walking.

edit: Oh, also, two word: Mila Kunis.

'Hey guys, so the Wachowski brothers/sisters want to make a movie called 'Jupiter Ascending.' It's going to cost 170 million and it will star Mila Kunis.'

:\😱D😱_O

'Okay, okay, that was dumb...but what if we also give you Channing Tatum with some teeth we bought from a Halloween store?'

Heard some stuff about this and it sounded like it might be interesting, then heard Wachowskis and immediately lost interest. Saw a trailer quite a while back and thought it looked bad. Then heard it got delayed and knew it would be a stinker. Saw a more recent trailer and yeah won't be going out of my way to watch it.

Yeah, tough crowd. Its not like we get these kinds of movies every month.

We don't? I swear like every other month there's a new one with Tom Cruise in it. I'm sure there's quite a bit more variance and it's not that often, but I feel like we've been inundated with movies like this the past couple of years.
