Fake Jobs Report

The Whitehouse is painting a rosy picture on the June Jobs Report, but we know better.
What we know is, that Donald Trump would lie about anything and has the people and the loyalist surrounding him and within his administration to fake just about anything including a simple Jobs Report.
Republicans accused Obama of fudging the numbers with every jobs report that came out during Obama's tenure, so obviously Donald Trump knows this can be done and now does it even if Obama never actually did. We all know better. We know how this corrupt administration would lie to fool the people and to make Trump look good. If it doesn't make any sense, then it's a Trump lie. That is how once deciphers this administration, real world fact vs Donald Trump fiction. Forget about what they are telling you, simply look at the facts in real time. And the facts are, we have no rosy Jobs Report nor anything to celebrate. We all know that a massive number of workers are still not working, or.... working only a fraction of the hours they were before the pandemic. We have massive business closures, both small and large, and that means massive layoffs as well. Donald Trump is trying to fool people into believing the two are not linked. IT'S ALL FAKED! And, we know that. This Trump economy was in terrible shape BEFORE the pandemic and we have proof, proof with how swiftly people came crashing down and business came crashing down within weeks of the showdown. When the economy can not even survive two weeks during a pandemic, that was obviously a faked economy. Joe Biden needs to openly accuse this administration and congressional republicans of faking this June Jobs Report. Joe needs to call it all lies, smoke and mirrors. Joe needs to call this for what it really is, just another Donald Trump con job.

I haven’t look at the reporting today, but there were enough indicators in the lead up to know that the real report would be..ahem...BAD. I need to check the ADP report (they’re like the largest payroll processor and they always publish a report that should predict the jobs numbers based on change in paychecks processed?)
 
The report was generated before the shit really started hitting the fan in the last week and states started pumping the brakes on reopening. It also doesn't look at people that stopped trying to get a job. There's a number of analysts that think we're really closer to 14% unemployment.
 
You guys really struggle with good news and anything that isn't destroying the country, so as to destroy the presidency. Meanwhile, the good people are producing, creating employment and the people are working. The leftist extremists are busy defacing the country and rioting, while the Democratic leaders of the communities where the most damage is being done, remain idle and are just letting it happen. The good people of the country see this, do not accept that kind of leadership, and will hopefully chuck all these pieces of shit in the proverbial trash, come the elections. If the Democrats lose, this is how. Be afraid of the silence, for in this case, it does not imply acceptance of the state of things. People are disgusted.

Faking a rosy jobs report not only gives this fake Trump economy a boost, but it will give senate republicans and in particular Moscow Mitch an excuse NOT to extend survival benefits for out of work workers and the families hurting from Trump's piss-poor handling of this pandemic. This faked Jobs Report will allow republicans to say, WE NEED NO FURTHER STIMULUS, THE AMERICAN WORKER IS DOING JUST FINE. So you see.... THEY HAD to fake this June Jobs Report, THEY HAD TO for the sake of ending help for the American worker. THEY HAD TO LIE, they had no other option. Well, they had one other option, to cough up the money and help the people suffering a little longer with extending the benefits package. This faked Jobs Report served two purposes, to further fake the Trump economy, and to further deny American workers.

If we were to look at the many jobs report threads on this forum you would see plenty of people acknowledging good news when there was some under trump. Can the same thing be said about you and the jobs number under Obama?

What you continuously fail to do is to accept reality when it’s pointed out to you, it’s why your posts are nothing but projection. You are the partisan hack you hate so much.

Yes sure one indicator shows employment swelled in certain sectors, all while losing jobs in other sectors and many lost jobs becoming permanent job losses. Certain sectors are not recovering and are intact starting to accelerate job losses. The jobs report was a mixed bag and shows underlying issues of Trumps alleged V recover.

In addition, the jobs report is national a averages. Dive into the individual state data and many state, and several swing states are running double the national average. For example Nevada is still officially at 25% unemployment which puts the real unemployment number north of 30%

Unemployment numbers are being proped up by PPP. Honestly from a political standpoint the republicans were suckers to allow expanded unemployment benefits to end July 31 and allow businesses to shed jobs Sept 1 and still get loan forgiveness for PPP. It sets up potential economic Armageddon two months before the genera election as plenty of places will be forced to lay-off in September without more stimulus.

Honestly, low unemployment is great. But how on Earth is the result of anything Donald did? These aren't NEW jobs being created (for the most part) these are just people going back to the same jobs they had before - same company, same office... same damn desk with the pictures of their dogs still sitting there from when they were furloughed. Same delivery truck. Same retail position etc etc. This isn't "job creation", this is "returning to work". But, ironically, as COVID cases and hospitalizations are rising all over the place, we can surmise that these people probably shouldn't be going back to work.

Core unemployment increased nearly a full percentage point and that was before the latest surge. It was not a good jobs report.

Exactly. How Trumpards fell for that campaign ad of record new job creation a month ago. I bet most of those was only because of PPP.
 
I have no idea if they are faked. I suspect that the numbers are "creatively" arrived at, but I have no proof.
It doesnt really matter though. These are "jobs" that aren't really expanding the economy, but the vast majority are workers going back after being furloughed or laid off. Even worse, a lot of them are service jobs that barely if at all paid a living wage before the pandemic, and those forced to go back will be even worse off than they were before (fewer hours, less customers in restaurants, etc.) The Democrats need to pound on this issue, though, as Trump and his cronies in the conservative media are going to claim he is doing such a great job bringing the economy back.

They aren’t faked. The problem is the narrative about them coming out of the White House are false. There was one positive metric today. Every other metric was a turd sandwich.

Then you had BLS issuing a report late in the day saying it will take a decade to get down to 6.1% unemployment.
