Jumping into Eyefinity

I am jumping into the eyefinity bandwagon, I need 3 monitors that have little bezels and I want to be able to mount them to one of those 3 monitor stands. Hope someone with some eyefinity knowledge can give me some advice. Should I go for 1920x1080/1200 displays for the best experience or will 16x12 monitors be fine?
 
generally, I would say let $ and availability guide you

if $ isn't a factor, get the setup with the most pixels IMO, as long as your video card can handle it

My budget is stretchable but the thing is I don't want to spend TOO much if the experience would be similar for a cheaper price. I hope that somewhat made sense lol.

Damn, you guys have cheap monitors over there. I could get 2 of those for what I payed for my 22" LG.

I would have eyefinity by now.

I'm pretty easygoing, but with bezel management it's not really a huge deal-killer IMO. But if you can afford it and have access to it, I'm sure it's a very noticeable improvement.
 
Are you going to run it with CrossFire; if so, go for the higher resolution LCDs

If you are going to use a single card, lower resolution is fine

Thin bezels were made mostly by Samsung the last that i checked.
 
You should try to get at least one monitor that has native DisplayPort to avoid the hassle of the adapter. If the other monitors you get are identical in size and dot pitch then you can still use bezel compensation even if you mix brands.

16:10 aspect ratio is a bit better for Eyefinity because 16:9 gives you a wider aspect ratio than you need and it ends up feeling a little too short and wide. 16:10 also works much better in portrait than 16:9 because of the narrowness of the middle monitor when rotated.

1680x1050 has the benefit of being 16:10 ratio and low enough pixel count to not stress your GPU as much, but I don't think there are any with native DisplayPort. 1920x1200 is 16:10 but very demanding with 3 monitors. 1920x1080 is cheaper and easier to find than 1920x1200, a little less demanding, but 16:9.

If you are looking for good quality and are willing to pay $200 a piece check out Dell's eBay page as they currently have 22" IPS monitors (with display port 😉 ) for only 199 and they are NEW not refurbished or used.

It depends on your future plans.

i'd rather get a bit bigger than get smaller and kick myself for not spending a few more bucks.

Have you tried Eyefinity? If you do not get a display with DP, you should get a single-link active DP adapter for about $30. They always work without flickering up to and including 1920x1200.

Thin bezels are not mandatory imo; there is bezel management for matched displays
 
the best option right now is to go for the dell U2211H or U2311H e-ips series. They come native with displayport (simplifies eyefinity connections) are ips (better for 3x1 portrait) and average around $200 each during sales.

They are 1080 and dont have hdmi, but for ~600 it is the best "non tn" setup that doesnt require any additional accessories.

Also the dell stands are fully adjustable, so you dont really need a triple mount.

I have tried eyefinity once before, I thought it was good. What I want is the most bang for the buck right now I can get.

And here I was lead to believe you had all the answers on Eyefinity?.....You should be fine...allegedly, you have an unlocked 6950 with a great clock?.....you have already stated, 19x12\10 is fine for 1 card.....!?
 
What card would be needed to run a 32" and 2x26" monitors? i do not currently game, but if were to game it would be nice to run these at 1920x1080/1200 resolutions. Thanks

I am in a toss up of trying this eyefinity thing and like that these cards will power up to 6 monitors. I usually run Nvidia though for gpugrid; distributed computing. I was just pondering the thought of something different. Thanks

Some of the video cards come with those adapters, but only if they have the 6xxx series ATI. The 5xxx series don't have mini-dp and are just DP.

(Not LED) but relatively low power anyways at 43w. It's 23 inch IPS which can run in portrait, has display port, 75hz, and after calibrated, supposedly looks great!
