JumpGate looks cool

A massively multiplayer game, like Privateer. Man, I loved Privateer. I saw it at Gamespot listed as the fourth mose popular game, but don't see it at stores. Not listed for release until Q4, so I guess "most popular" has nothing to do with sales? Hmmm.

Anyone heard of this, got news?

This belongs in software? I thought software was for issues. Sowee.

Anyway, alot of people thought Privateer was boring too, ever play that? I might enjoy it.

Is it supposed to come out later this year or is it floating around in limited quantity?

I was in the beta too, and I also thought it was pretty boring. I wanted to give it another chance later in developement (since the basics to make it a good game were there) but I kinda forgot. Oh and BTW, I love Privateer-style games, Freelancer and EVE Online are right at the top of my most-wanted list.

Here's a mentioning of Elite.

I never heard of Freelancer and EVE Online too, I'll have to do some looking up.

Sad to hear it was boring, was that because of the game, or because there wasn't the multitude of players? Worse than Privateer?

Well, you can't really compare JumpGate and Freelancer. Of course they are both space games, but JG is massively multiplayer, while Freelancer is mainly (strictly?) singleplayer.
EVE Online, however, is massively multiplayer, and man it does look sweet. Still lots of time to go before it's even in beta, though.

I don't think I'd be interested in joining a squad or whatever, I wonder what a massively mulitplayer game will offer me. More dynamic I guess?
