Jumper Setting

Help me in Jumper setting, I have 2 hard disk seagate and other is westron both are 40 GB.I want to run both hard disk but they are not running at a time.I can jumper setting one as master and other as slave. I have compaq EVo system.Plz plz help me how i can run both disks at a time.
 
I assume your drives are AT. To get the settings for your models, go to Seagate and Western Digital's sites, and enter the model numbers of your drives the word, jumper in their search windows.

You should find diagrams for how to set either drive as a Master, Slave or "Cable Select." Setting the jumpers for "Cable Select" means that setting is determined by the connector to which is the drive is attached. The drive on the far end of the cable will be the master, and the one in the middle, between the far end and the motherboard, will be the slave. "Cable Select" can be convenient when you may be swapping drives around, but it doesn't always work correctly for all drives on all motherboards, especially older units.
