I'm all for those.

I'll be going for water with a twist, since it's winter here ;)

Never got around to submitting a shot again... Need to fix that for next month...

Anyway, I liked three for the primary... The only thing that would have made 3 better would have been if the train was in the same spot, but had a sense of motion. Image was a little static, but well composed...

Number 5 for the secondary subject worked better for me... Good shadow, geometry, and I'm a sucker for a nice flower shot..

Nice work all though..... I need to get off my butt next month, as I keep saying...

I like that idea as well....since those are two areas I will take pictures in!

Congrats to the winners! I'll have to apologize for my primary entry, it was completely awful :D. It was a last moment thing, and for some reason I was going to try to make an HDR image, something I absolutely have no eye for. When it didn't turn out at all, I had to go with what I had, and submitted a horrible picture :).

I was happy with my secondary submission, though, although I should've lightened it up a bit.

Thanks for participating guys, see you in a couple of days for the next one!

Nice work folks

I couldn't find anything i really liked for the urban one, so i went for the most striking building image i had ;)

Secondary was the only shot i had taken thus far that came anywhere near the category topic, so i flung it in, the more the merrier!

Congratulations to MadAmos and quackagator!

It was nice to see that more people are participating. I wish I could have come up with something that fit the theme better, but there's not much interesting of an urban nature around here. Thanks to the person that threw me a vote. :)

Hey DrPizza, I know that topics should stay in their respective forums, but do you think it would be okay if we put a thread in OT each time we start a new contest pointing the way to it in order to get more people involved? I know from reading some threads in OT that a lot of people aren't aware of the contest, but I bet they'd be interested in it.

You could just put one thread in there and bump it, i don't think we need to spam OT every month with new threads ;)

Yep, I didn't word it very well, but that was what I was thinking. Just bump it when needed like when the deadline is getting near, when the voting starts, and when the theme for the next contest is announced.

Edit: Oh, BTW I really liked the photo you submitted for the Urban Landscape, but did you notice that one blue pane that was missing on the building? Had me wondering what happened to it.
