Female here so I have no e-peen investment in this topic. I've always been baffled by why Julia Roberts was considered so attractive. Attractive yes, but compared to other Hollywood beauties hand-selected for a perfect assembly of features she doesn't seem to measure up.

She's by far more beautiful than me or most of the people I've met in real life, but doesn't to me to belong at the top of the Hollywood pile either.

i think shes above average attractive, but the popularity contest she won has nothing to do with actual beauty. SJP is a horse face. i long to meet her so i can ask "why the long face?" and see if she gets pissed. too bad she ruined that smokin bod she had, based on that skeletor pic up there.

im not very picky at all when it comes to womens looks, im more of a personality first kind of guy. but i can and do recognize beauty when i see it, and julia is.

It isn't just about a pretty face. Having a positive attitude can make someone pretty attractive as well. I think she shines in this category.

styles and tastes change, and they obviously change very quickly. This thread simply reflects the tastes of many kids that were barely conscious during the years that she burst onto the scene. They will never understand what was, or is, so attractive about her.

But that being said, I think someone like Jennifer Connolly, who was around during that same time period, was (and remains) far more attractive; just not nearly as popular.

Since she first came on the scene, I tried really hard to convince myself that she was attractive. I told myself that, since EVERYONE thought she was GORGEOUS, I must have been missing something.

I have given up. There is just something about her that does not do it for me, and I do not believe there is anything wrong with that.
