What makes you think LA, the city closer to the equator, is any cooler than Sac? I'm in SJ and it's balls hot here as well.

What makes you think LA, the city closer to the equator, is any cooler than Sac? I'm in SJ and it's balls hot here as well.

It has been in the mid 80s during the day along the coast and high 60s-low 70s at night here in San Diego lately. It is supposed to be 104 in Sacramento today (think Death Valley or Palm Springs).
 
Summer is pretty much over here. Sometimes we get summer weather throughout part of August but it came to a pretty abrupt stop this year. Almost at the point of needing the furnace.

I drove through Death Valley once when it was 126 degrees F.

Ah, but it was a dry heat.

Hawaii has nothing on Cali for heat, the official world record for highest temp was 134F in Cali (Death Valley).
