You know, the South has had the POTUS spot for the last 20 years, based on that fact alone I wouldn't vote for RP.

I tend to vote for the person. Not where they reside.

The number i have read is about 6% of the time over the past 40 years those cities have had a republican majority controlling them. 94% of the time democrats have been at the helm of the 10 worst cities in the United States over the past 40 years.

GOP cannot govern. Period. Look at 2000-2006. GOP had the power to do it its way. It fvcked up everything it touched. It exploded spending, corruption, cronyism, and debt. It dropped the ball on preventing 9/11. It got us stuck in 2 wars and won 0. If it could govern, as you claim, why was it thrown out of power in 2006? Were Americans just misguided? Put your arrogance aside, and look at the miserable record of your party when it comes to governing the US.
So yeah, Clinton got a BJ. Big deal. He knew how to run this country properly. Noone in the GOP does.

Good for you. Ron Paul voted no on HR6

Vote 40: H R 6: This bill would repeal tax cuts to oil companies and mandate that they pay a fee to remove oil from the Gulf of Mexico. It would also fund renewable energy programs. The act would repeal a tax break that oil and gas firms received in 2004. That break effectively lowered their corporate tax rates. It would also bar oil companies from bidding on new federal leases unless they pay a fee or renegotiate improperly drafted leases from the late ?90s. Those leases did not require royalty payments on Gulf of Mexico oil production. Oil firms would pay a ?conservation fee? for oil taken from the gulf.

Additionally, the bill would set aside an estimated $13 billion to $15 billion in revenues over a five-year period for tax breaks relating to renewable energy sources, according to The Washington Post.

Fuck Texas and their Enron mentality. I'm going to vote for someone who has to pay a heat bill, same as me.

Do you understand why he voted against that? It wasn't because in he's in bed with the oil companies.

You are blaming the GOP for those things, when in fact, it was the small but powerful group called the neo-conservatives whos basis of thought and government is PNAC. That hardly is representative of the entire GOP. Although, its the partisan politics that allowed it. We need to stand firm on morals and ethics, something that neither party can claim.

GOP is the one who brought neocons to power and let them run this country. It is representative of the GOP, because they derived their power from the GOP. If GOP was willing to turn over power to people who cannot govern, it cannot be trusted with governing this country either. That's all there is to it. Democrats do have a claim to morals and ethics, GOP doesn't. The only morals GOP claims are sexual ones, and they've been shown to be hypocritical on those time and time again. In all other areas they will screw the little guy on behalf of big business and entrenched elites, and will do whatever it takes to do so. They cannot be trusted in general, and cannot be trusted with running the government in particular.

Democrats are just as guilty of many things. This is not about party, stop blinding yourself by colors like some gang member. It is not about "rah rah go team". Neither democrats nor republicans are wholly innocent nor wholly guilty. Your mindset is the type that America needs to overcome and its sad you cannot see past a two party system.

The proof is in the eating. GOP had power to do what it wanted to do 2000-2006. We have seen how the country would be run if the GOP had its way, because it did have its way. It is obvious to anyone with a brain that they simply cannot govern, and cannot be trusted with power under any circumstances. I see past a two party system. I don't think there is any particular reason for the Republican party to exist, seeing how it cannot govern :D

No, I don't know what his excuse is but I would imagine it will be his free market philosphy.

RP supporters need to realize that we live in a world where everyone's economies are increasily competing for whatever resources they can get their hands on. Are all the other players playing by the same free market philosphy? Indeed, if we followed nothing but free market philosphy we wouldn't have been to the moon yet.

Sad you have such a closed mind, really sad. When you grow out of the high school mentality LMK. We will celebrate.

That's where you are wrong, as usual. It is not about the person, it's about the party. The Republican party is ran on a strict ideology, and every candidate it nominates is beholden to that ideology. The whole party cannot be trusted to govern, and by extension, every person it nominates cannot be trusted to govern. It has been clearly demonstrated in the last few years. Even so called compassionate conservative like Bush who supposedly was bipartisan in Texas, reverted back to typical GOP style of (mis)government and pushing the same old ideology that failed this country time and time again.

I tend to vote for the person. Not where they reside.

BS, we would be on mars right now if we believed in a free market.

Oh really? Who would pay for it and why?

Competition is good for all things, especially innovation & technology. Government funding of one idea over another slows down this process giving one entity an advantage over another and subsequently squelches new companies. Think about it.

Look up the ten worst cities in America. Then count how many times in the past 40 years Repubicans have controlled those cities.

Noone in the GOP does.

lmao go look up the 10 worst cities and tell us who governs them.

Your black and white world is amusing to read. As you surely missed. I agreed both can govern. Why? Because there are quality people on both sides of the aisle. But in your black and white fantasy land only democrats know how to govern and it is your job to tell us how it is.

They are guilty of many things, but not "just as guilty."
They are right on the big things. GOP is wrong on everything.

I can do nothing but shake my head at your willful ignorance. The democrats are not the answer. The republicans are not the answer. It is the person not the party that makes the difference. Sad you have such a closed mind, really sad. When you grow out of the high school mentality LMK. We will celibate.

Willful ignorance is akin to willful insanity. People like you deserve no place in politics.

Doing the same thing that failed time and time again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Voting for GOP fits that definition like a glove.
So you are the nutjob here. GOP deserves no place in politics, because politics are for parties that know how to govern, and GOP doesn't. :D

Continue being in denial. The longer GOP is in denial, the longer they will not be competitive, and the better it is for America. So keep it up, bro

Answer the questions I put to you. Your midless drivel about competition proves nothing towards your claim we would be on Mars if we followed the free market ideal. Why would the free market finance a money losing proposition like going to Mars?

Well, there may be room for a 2nd party, but GOP aint it. It can't govern. I am sorry, but having a 2nd party that screws up everything it touches every time it is given power is not all that better than not having one.
