Judge rules Trump, Ivanka and Don Jr., must testify in NY probe

I cannot wait for Trump's minions to holla and rage in protest over this.

After all, Trump did call for massive protests if any of one of the three Black woman prosecutors who are investigating his alleged misdeeds made an error or perhaps, took too long a lunch.

We know they will refuse to answer or pretend they dont know.
The purpose of this is to catch them in a lie, but they are all professional con artists. So it wont happen that way.

The plot thickens and ripens. Wait 'til it rots and Trump is defending himself in court, a dozen of his attorneys trying to beat each other out of the courtroom doors.

edit - One can hope.

I sure hope we get to see, will Rudy be there with him? I hope the judge nails him when he goes off on long rants about the election and how unfairly he's being treated.

They will rehearse it 5000 times, “The Fifth”, come the day and he will RAMBLE. His best case is gonna be some mental illness.

Taking the fifth is problematic for them though as there is also a civil case against them. Under New York law jurors are allowed to draw negative inferences from people taking the fifth so while doing that might keep him out of jail it could also open the company up to ruinous losses in civil court.

Guesses on how many answers will be something other than "I don't recall" or pleading the 5th?

It's not difficult to guess, as the OP's article quotes Trump's attorney saying Trump won't answer questions without first being given immunity.

Gee, why is it that Trump needs immunity? I thought this was all a politically motivated witch hunt?

I assume you mean civil jurors are allowed to make such an inference. If criminal jurors could draw the inference, such a law would likely be unconstitutional.

In any event, yes, Trump will take the Fifth. And he may have to pay a substantial amount in civil damages. He's going to do that rather than open himself up to criminal prosecution. If I was Trump's lawyer, no way would I advise him to testify about anything, ever. Every sentence he utters is a potential perjury charge and he isn't savvy enough to not incriminate himself for other things anyway.

I didn't read it, but it was also a catch-all for Ivanka and Junior 😛

Burn them down, burn them all down to ashes.

Oh no, lucky bankruptcy #7?

LOL, yea, accurate in that NO LAWYER, even Rudy, would want that idiot to testify, he couldn't figure out that "you know the whole Russia thing" was a bad idea when asked by Lester Holt why he fired Comey. Later, when told of the epic blunder he tried to say Holt "fudged the tape" LOL.. 😀
