The judge went too far by venting his frustration and forcibly telling her that she is "atrocious" and "disgusting". A person in his position should not communicate in such an abusive manner. It is easy for him to say those words behind 20 feet separation and a team of guards. It appears that he is mentally exhausted from his job.
Let me guess because even though the judge was right, you would have whuped his ass?
A judge is in the perfect position to tell any poor sod that chooses to not follow the rules and proper choices in our society what a piece of sh!t they are.
There are many rules and regulations I don't agree with, but I can't say because of my thoughts they do not apply to me. Anything that affects someone else I usually will follow, things that do not I may make the choice not too. If I were to be arrested or ticketed for those failures; that is my fault totally and if an officer or judge goes off on me then I had it coming.
It is not the place of any public official to go "off on" anyone.
A public position that possesses any type of authority requires responsibility.
The judge did not act in a responsible manner while fulfilling his civic duties.
He acted more like a thug on the streets.
If a judge or policeman were to berate me in such a manner, my response would not be to accept it or even to "whup" his ass as you so eloquently suggest. Instead, my response would be to file a formal complaint against said public servant.
