Here's the NYT news of recent hours, apparently not blocked with any pay-wall:
Federal Judge . . . . . Resigns
At first I was alarmed. Every time a good legislator fails to run again, or somehow gives up their office, I worry because the seat can be captured by the opposition.
And I always thought judges were replaced by the administration in power.
Apparently this is not so with Wolf's "resignation" as described in the article, and his seat will be occupied by a woman and judge appointed by Obama.
