Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
(chorus)
Dont stop believin
Hold on to the feelin
Streetlight people

In liked them until that fegula Steve Perry became their lead singer and turned them into a Nancy Pop Band. That said for them it was a good move as it made them a very successful Pop Band and probably rich though I hear they are now playing the County Fair Circuit.
No doubt if they stuck with Greg Rollie as their lead singer they wouldn't have been anywhere near as successful as they ended up. I went back and listened to their album Kahotek (sp) and while it was good for the time it was really dated and wouldn't be considered a classic where as most of the Perry fronted albums are considered classics.Originally posted by: compuwiz1

Yeah, but for some reason women swoon for Perry's voice and that music in my car, at an appropriate time, has gotten me laid on more than one occasion. Eh, well, back in the day, anyway.![]()
