Journey (PS3)

I don't really get excited about video games any more but this is one game I am looking forward too.

It seems so simple yet I find it very appealing.

FlOw didn't hold my attention for long. Flower, however, was terrific. If they came out with added levels as DLC, I would consider purchasing it despite my No to DLC policy. The only other game that has tempted me so is Valkyria Chronicles (for Beyond Her Blue Flame) but I've resisted so far.
So they're 1 for 2 with me, but flOw was very simple, more of a concept than a game. I'll be cautiously optimistic for Journey.

Also, the pictures have an ambiance similar to Shadow of the Colossus. Probably a good sign.

OMG!!! still no release date!!! When is this going to be released?????

This is really the only game I am actually looking forward to and there is no info as to when it will be released!

This game looks like all built in desert and the destination is mountains. Still a very different and unique concept.

I didn't get into FlOw but Flower was fantastic. ThatGameCompany produces interactive art, not games. You have to take that into consideration when deciding whether or not to buy it.

I heard the game is $15 and only an hour and a half. Is that true? I think I'll wait for a sale.

Meh, it's about a 3 hour game. I bought it because of all the great reviews it was getting. It has some great visuals, but yeah, it is very short.

bought it last night and played a little seems interesting. saw 1 other person when i was playing. i'll have to see if I can find a site to explain the game a little bit. there's no instructions at all (but it is a fairly simple game from what I can tell). But there are some things I would like explained a little bit.

From what I read, a good part of the game is discovering that for yourself. Googling it takes away from the "journey".

I played it and posted about it in the other thread.

i was looking at this the other day and almost bought it. watched a few reviews about it today, and i definitely am getting it.

I believe you will only see one other person. It's not a MMO.

you get randomly grouped with one other person. you cant talk to them, and it could be that you end up playing with more than one person, just only one of them at a time.

ok, so 10 minutes in to this game, and it is amazing. beautiful. just.... w o w.

edit: just finished it. most emotional gaming experience i have had in a long time.
