Journalism & Mass Communication: What can I do with it?`

I was contemplating taking this BA in college (UW Milwaukee/Wisconsin), and was wondering if anyone here took it and how are you using it? I've been in college for like 3 years and got all my GERs finished so its time for me to get it right.

I was given the opportunity to work as a computer hardware repair fixer upper two years after highschool making 35k a year and a bunch of these websites for this degree hover at 30k... kinda seems like this degree gives less than what a job offers without college

Perhaps there's a field that I'm missing that this degree could help in. So if anyone's got some good experience with it I'd love to hear it! Thanks

There are lots and lots of different jobs in the journalism/pr world. You could be a reporter, writer, copy editor, technician for NPR, production assistant for a TV station, work in a press office for a major organization/institution. Every major company has a public relations department. And despite the perception that the newspaper industry is dying, there are lots and lots of creative jobs in print and online.
