i did some googling, apparently it is some kind of internet accelerator for those on dial up

dial up internet users love joost because it makes them get faster interent

if joost speeds up the interwebs overall, then it shirley must have an excellent search funtion. maybe they license google's search capability or something so that you can search stuff really good
