So, who will win tommarrow night? Im going with Tarver. This guy is a total class act. Not to mention that it is a rare for a boxer to successfully drop down in to a lower weight class, and still be as effective.
 
Jones will kill him. No chance in hell for Tarver. Noda. Zero. Zilch.

Roy Jones is one of the best ever. Just another fight this weekend. If it goes to decision, I bet Tarver wins less than 4 rounds total. I'd say it will be closer to 11-1 or 12-0 in favor of Roy.
 
You dont think that losing all that muscle isnt going to effect his stamina? If it does, Tarver is good enough to take advantage...

I think Tarver is going to get the crap kicked out of him.

Jones may not have a jab, but he does have the quickness and the strength. If he does not let his cockiness overcome in the ring with a fighter with equal the skill, I think there will be no match.

Odds are Jones is going to win. But I'm not sure if I really expect a knockout, Jones isn't exactly a knockout fighter.
 
Jones will win, he doesn't have many weaknesses, and the only time he was knocked down was a flash knock down.

Jones' weakness? He has no weakness. He lost one BS fight on a DQ. How can you say he has a weakness? What "expert" came up with that?
 
Roy is the best boxer ever. Hands down. No question.

He is also a winner, that unteachable aspect of competition. He will WIN. I would bet my life on it.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better trained athlete than Roy Jones. The man is amazing. His body is his temple and he treats it with ut-most respect. He's also a better techinal fighter. I'd love to a see a knockout, but I think we all know a 12 round decision is much more feasible. And in that decision, Tarver will be doing good to win any of the rounds.

Jones isn't a true heavyweight. He adds that weight so he can fight at heavyweight. So it isn't like he's coming down so much as he's getting back to normal. Bad news for Tarver.

He's not a knockout fighter because he doesn't want to be. He likes to play with guys and break their spirits. And he says the crowd doesn't want to see him KO these guys in the 1st round.

If Roy wants to KO a guy, most times he can do it. Jones has great power.

He is a good fighter, but he likes to show off too much. Why can't he just go in there and get his job done and get out?

He is nowhere near the best ever, he still has a lot to prove.

Its entertainment. If fans are entertained they will pay to see him fight. Therefore the purses rise and he gets richer.
 
I think he's unquestionably the best fighter of this era and one of the all time greats. I mean, the guy has yet to even be CHALLENGED in 50 fights.

I was actually thinking the same thing until I saw him at all his fundraisers and how he helps out his neighborhood. He is no dummy either, he is actually very intelligent.

That is just his fighting style, just like how Ali had his own unique style. Jones may act like a gangster, but he does have a good heart and attentions.
 
tarver won the first 2 rounds by giving a good beating to Jones. Jones is winning the next 4. Round 7 looks like is going to Tarver,
