I just skipped to the bottom to see who had the best cars, and it's Sweedish!? wtf?
In other news my american car started fine last winter in -20 wind chill. But then again I take good care of it.

But we certainly are used to -30C or worse in Edmonton.
 
Yeah lol, they don't understand just how cold it gets up here lol. I will swim 5-10C but under that is a little cold.
 
if i may, let me add to the very top of the list:

Hawaiians start using hair blow-dryers (set at hottest/fan high) on themselves and sleep in their cars with their engines running and the heaters on. (we have no furnaces and we always wanted to use the car heaters for something.)
 
I live in California. It doesn't get cold here in the valley. Hell...I was out in -10° weather when I was visiting friends in Colorado in just jeans and a light leather jacket and I was fine. But yeah...I'm not the typical Californian.
 
Bah. My american car handled -8F (IIRC) without any difficulty whatsoever last winter, when I decided to take a trip to Chicago. 😛
