For me, that was a thinker, but I got it and enjoyed it.

there's 25 digits, when you count in octal. after you reach 8, you start a new "10s" place.
for example, if you were at 88, the next digit would be 100

decimal (straightfoward):

01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10
11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20
20 21 22 23 24 25

25 digits again. so OCT 31 == DEC 25, OMG hi2u!!!

omg i finally got the joke. speaking of which
my friend saw a G35 on the road with the liscense plate "G 0x23" more good stuff for you nerds.
I drive a G20 and want the liscense plate "G 0x14"

Not to be nitpicky . . . but that's actually incorrect.

In octal, there is no "8". There're only eight numbers available to use, which are 0-7. So counting should actulaly look like.

00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07
10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17
20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27
30 . . . etc
